Failure is a big part of life! π«
Failure is a big part of life! π« I would argue maybe one of the most important parts. As a parent, adult, and a daughter myself, I can proudly claim that I am where I am today because of all the times I have failed in my life. The lessons I learned from my failures are instrumental to who I am today. And as a parent, I want my child or any child to fail as often as possible. Failure shows that they’re trying, learning, and growing. Failure means that they’re figuring things out on their own. And at the risk of sound cliché, failure means they’re on the path to success. This doesn’t mean your kids fail and get back up on their own. You need to be there to support them, reassure them, and help them grasp what the failure has taught them. 5️⃣ calming techniques to teach your children #shorts
5️⃣ calming techniques to teach your children Helping your children manage their emotions is crucial for their development. Here are five calming techniques you can teach them to cope with big feelings. 1️⃣ Deep Breathing: Teach your child to take slow, deep breaths to calm their body and mind. Deep breathing can help reduce stress by signaling the brain to relax. 2️⃣ Meditating: Introduce your child to meditation practices. Even a few minutes of quiet reflection can help center their thoughts and reduce anxiety. 3️⃣ Walking: Encourage your child to take a walk. Physical activity can help release built-up energy and reduce the intensity of their emotions. 4️⃣ Tracing Patterns: Provide your child with a piece of paper and a pencil or use their finger to trace patterns on a surface. This repetitive action can be soothing and help them focus on something other than their distress. 5️⃣ Imagining Their Favorite Place: Guide your child to imagine their favorite place. This mental escape can help them distance themselves from their current stressors and find calm.
